SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School classes for ages 3-Senior High.

Will resume on September 12, 2021.

We plan to offer 2 age-group classes: Preschool/Kindergarten/Elementary, and Youth 6th grade-12 grade. Sunday School will start on Rally Day, September 12 during our 9:15 service.

Each class will gather together in their room for music and gathering time, then break into age-appropriate groups in the same room for crafts/activities.

Students will go with their families to the 9:15 service and stay for the Children's Message, then will go to their rooms for Sunday School.

Welcome to the Nursery!  (For the health of our little ones, Nursery care is unavailable until further notice.)

Some people brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch them, but his followers told them to stop. When Jesus saw this, he was upset and said to them, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these children. I tell you the truth, you must accept the kingdom of God as if you were a little child, or you will never enter it.” Then Jesus took the children in his arms, put his hands on them, and blessed them."   -- Mark 10:13-16

Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, and learning environment for your child so that you may have peace of mind while you worship and attend Sunday School.

We provide nursery care for all young children, infants through age 2, during our Sunday morning worship services.  Heather Wilmotte and Dan Matthews are our nursery attendants on staff.  Our attendants are screened with criminal background checks and child abuse clearances in compliance with MUM's Safe Sanctuary program and Pennsylvania's requirements.

Children must be signed in and signed out of the nursery.  An electronic paging system summons parents when necessary.

Safe Sanctuary

PA House Bill 435 was signed into law to increase protection for children and youth in Pennsylvania. This law requires all volunteers working with children and youth to have the following two clearances: The PA Criminal Record Check (Act 34) and the PA Child Abuse Clearance (Act 33). The new law requires updates to clearances every three years.

Our policy is to require both clearances for all volunteers working with children and youth and for all church staff members, and to require the clearances to be updated every three years. Staff members are required to also get FBI clearances, as will new volunteers from out of sate.

We take our responsibility for the safety of our children and youth very seriously. To see our entire Safe Sanctuary Policy, click on the Safe Sanctuary tab under Children and Youth.
