MUM Mission Outreach March 2016-July 2017
Throughout the year MUM's Holy Hands quilters give several people warm "hugs" from MUM in the form of prayer quilts blessed during worship servIces as well as hand sewn bears for new babies.
Groups from MUM provide dinner at the EECM Homeless Shelter every other month.
Seekers Adult Sunday School collected $190 offering in 2016 for MUM's Needy/Emergency Assistance Fund.
Vacation Bible School families donated $420.20 (471/2 pounds of money) to UMCOR's clean water projects.
355 pounds of Pet food, leashes, bowls, and other needed supplies were sent to Animal Friends to help animals displaced by flooding in West Virgina in June.
Outreach collected supplies and filled several cleaning buckets to help restock the Mission Barn following intense flooding in the region and US.
Our Knitting/Crochet Ministry made and donated 100 preemie caps to local hospitals.
A special back-to-school donation of school supplies was given to Garden City Food Pantry as part of our MUM Cares donation in August.
Gifts to West Virginia Flood Relief
The UMW held a Pecan Sale which will help fund UMW Missions.
One of our youth, Emma McFarland, organized a bake sale through which $580 was raised for "She's the First."
Magi Project gifts in December 2016 were delivered to Sunrise School for Exceptional Children and East End Cooperative Ministries in time to help with a Merry Christmas. Monetary doantions were sent to the Ward Home for at-risk youth.
Our Christmas offering of $4,911.53 was distributed among UMCOR International and U.S. Relief and the Connellsville Area Community Ministries.
Winter hats, gloves, scarves and hats were distributed at the Garden City Food Pantry in January 2017.

The April "Good as New" used book sale earned $1,248.71 for United Methodist Women Missions.
82 bags of fruit in bags decorated by our Sunday School Students were distributed on Maundy Thursday to the clients of the Garden City Food Pantry.
Our Easter offering was distributed to Bethany House, UMCOR and Imagine No Malaria.
The Youth volunteered at Animal Friends in May and took food, toys and other supllies donated by the congregation.
The United Methodst Women earned $690.28 for mission projects through the Flea Market in June.
VBS families donated to the food pantry in June.
Our Outreach Team collects donations of food and supplies on the second Sunday for the Garden City Food Pantry. What a joy to see our shopping cart overflowing each month.
